Jen has been gardening professionally since 2016. In 2021 she achieved a diploma in horticulture with distinction through the University of Guelph. She worked as assistant head gardener at Kingsbrae Garden in New Brunswick in 2020 then as a lead hand with a local landscaping company in 2021 before returning to her own business in 2022. Jen enjoys spending early spring days working in a greenhouse while also growing her own seeds at home. She is a director in her local horticultural society and a member of the agricultural fair committee as well as an advisor to the community gardens in her home town. Jennifer has had a number of published articles and is currently a columnist for the local newspaper providing a monthly gardening column entitled 'Over the Garden Gate'. She participated in a story compilation entitled All Our Fears and Triumphs as published by Skyline Publishing of Ireland. While in New Brunswick Jennifer began a blog website entitled Where Violets Dance which can also be found on Facebook. Jen puts her creativity into photography and painting, when not writing or directing it towards her garden and those of her clients.
